MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Malik Rosier threw for 344 yards and two touchdowns Saturday, and Travis Homer’s 33-yard touchdown run with 2:48 left helped No. 8 Miami defeat upset-minded Syracuse 27-19 as the Hurricanes extended their winning streak to 11 games.

It was the third straight down-to-the-end game for Miami (6-0, 4-0 Atlantic Coast), which is off to its best league start since joining the ACC in 2004. Syracuse (4-4, 2-2) was coming off an upset of Clemson.

(1) ALABAMA 45, TENNESSEE 7: Bo Scarbrough had two fourth-down touchdown runs and Alabama (8-0, 5-0 Southeastern) defeated Tennessee (3-4, 0-4) at Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

(5) WISCONSIN 38, MARYLAND 13: Jonathan Taylor ran for a touchdown and reached 1,000 yards for the season, Alex Hornibrook passed for two scores and Wisconsin (7-0, 4-0 Big Ten) beat Maryland (3-4, 1-3) at Madison, Wisconsin.

(10) OKLAHOMA STATE 13, TEXAS 10: Ramon Richards intercepted a Sam Ehlinger pass in the end zone in overtime and Matt Ammendola kicked a field goal, giving the Cowboys (6-1, 3-1 Big 12) a victory over Texas (3-4, 2-2) at Austin, Texas.

(14) VIRGINIA TECH 59, NORTH CAROLINA 7: Josh Jackson threw three touchdown passes and Virginia Tech (6-1, 2-1 Atlantic Coast) scored on fumble, interception and punt returns to rout North Carolina (1-7, 0-5) at Blacksburg, Virginia.

(18) MICHIGAN STATE 17, INDIANA 9: Brian Lewerke threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Felton Davis with 5:59 remaining, and Michigan State (6-1, 4-0 Big Ten) edged Indiana (3-4, 0-4) at East Lansing, Michigan.

(20) CENTRAL FLORIDA 31, NAVY 21: Adrian Killins ran for 122 yards and two touchdowns, McKenzie Milton passed for 233 yards and Central Florida (6-0, 4-0 American Athletic) beat Navy (5-2, 3-2) at Annapolis, Maryland.

COLUMBIA 22, DARTMOUTH 17: Josh Bean had two short touchdown runs, the defense had two goal-line stands in the last three minutes and the Lions (6-0, 3-0 Ivy) held off Dartmouth (5-1, 2-1) to match its best start in 21 years.

YALE 24, PENNSYLVANIA 19: Kurt Rawlings hit Christopher Williams-Lopez for a 4-yard touchdown with 4:11 remaining and Yale (5-1, 2-1 Ivy) beat Pennsylvania (2-4, 0-3) at Philadelphia.

COLGATE 45, HOLY CROSS 7: Grant Breneman threw for two touchdowns and ran in two more to lead Colgate (4-4, 2-1 Patriots) over Holy Cross (2-6, 1-2) at Worcester, Massachusetts.

CONNECTICUT 20, TULSA 14: Bryant Shirreffs went 23 of 29 for 372 yards passing and one touchdown, and Connecticut (3-4, 2-3 American Athletic) scored the first 20 points against Tulsa (2-6, 1-3) at East Hartford, Connecticut.

ELON 35, RHODE ISLAND 34: Davis Cheek threw for 331 yards and three touchdowns, and Warren Messer made an interception in the final minute as Elon (6-1, 4-0 Colonial Athletic) rallied to beat Rhode Island (1-6, 0-4) at Kingston, Rhode Island, for its sixth straight victory.

BOSTON COLLEGE 41, VIRGINIA 10: Anthony Brown threw three touchdown passes and Boston College (4-4, 2-3 Atlantic Coast) stifled Virginia (5-2, 2-1) at Charlottesville, Virginia.

CORNELL 34, BROWN 7: Harold Coles ran for two touchdowns and Cornell (2-4, 2-1 Ivy) smothered Brown (2-4, 0-3) at Ithaca, New York, to end a nine-game skid in the series.

NEW HAMPSHIRE 40, TOWSON 17: Trevor Knight threw for four touchdowns as New Hampshire (5-2, 3-1 Colonial Athletic) rolled past Towson (2-5, 0-4) at Durham, New Hampshire.
