LEWISTON — Legal Peaces on Lisbon Street celebrated Halloween by giving out free marijuana Tuesday night.
Yes, free. To anyone 21 years and older with a valid ID.
“It’s illegal to sell without a medical card, but not to just give out,” said shop owner Vinny Gogan.
The head shop was giving out free goody bags and some candy from 4 to 9 p.m. Shop employees said they were doing it to raise the business’s visibility and give back to the community.
“That’s the kind of vibe here,” an employee said.
Employees, who did not give their names, said a lot of people had visited Tuesday for a goody bag.
“Not a lot of people know where we’re located,” the employee said. “It’s a busy street.”
The store has been at 934 Lisbon St. for years. To attract more customers, the store had Blunt Man outside with a bowl of Halloween candy.
