On the evening of Oct. 17, the Back Cove Neighborhood Association held an issues forum at Ocean Avenue Elementary School. The gathering focused on the Nov. 7 municipal ballot. Attending were City Council candidates for the at-large and District 4 seats and representatives (pro and con) from the four city ballot questions. Our forum was well attended and the information exchanged during the question-and-answer periods was informative and helpful.
I wish to thank the City Council candidates for the at-large seat (Joseph M. Brunelle, Jill C. Duson and Bree A. LaCasse) and the District 4 seat (Justin Costa and Kimberly A. Rich). We are lucky to have such high-quality individuals willing to run for office. And while we know they all cannot win, we wish them all the best of luck.
I also wish to thank the representatives from both sides of the four municipal ballot questions. They helped us understand better the importance and complexities of these issues. We are now better informed because of them.
