On the Move


The following people joined the Falmouth Country Club's clubhouse team:

n Brenda Wills was named general manager. Wills was previously with Arrowhead Country Club.

n Jim Fairbanks joined as their PGA Golf Professional and was previously with Nonesuch Golf Club.

n Alex Tumidajski joined as head chef and was previously at Inn by the Sea.

n Jared Laflin joined the country club as food and beverage manager. Laflin was formerly with The Regency.

n Cheryl-Ann Jalbert joined Good Shepherd Food-Bank as manager of organizational development and human resources.

Jalbert has 30 years of experience at Hannaford Bros. Co. where she most recently was human resources manager.

n Melody Dowell joined the food bank as public relations coordinator. She was previously the communications specialist for St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance in Phoenix.

The following people joined Custom Disability Solutions:

n Molly Kershner of Gorham joined the company as a benefit assistant.

Kershner was previously with Medical Mutual Insurance Co. of Maine.

n Sandra Ricker of Portland joined as a LTD claims examiner. Ricker was previously with Catholic Charities.

n Sherri Webber of Raymond joined as an underwriting assistant. Webber was previously with ING.

n Amy Stephens of Saco joined the company as an STD claims examiner.

Stephens was previously with Aetna.

n Marisel Rodriguez joined the company as a benefit assistant. She was previously with Creative Work Systems.

n Leann McCarthy of Windham joined as an LTD claims examiner.

n Marina Alatriste joined as a bilingual claims service representative.

Alatriste works for Serendipity on a part-time basis.

n Jeremy Nelson joined Oxford Networks as system administrator of its Lewiston headquarters.

Nelson, of Westbrook, was previously a senior systems administrator for Magna Carta Cos. in New York City and as a technical trainer for Red Hat in Raleigh, N.C.


n Amanda Rand of Portland was promoted to an LTD claims examiner at Custom Disability Solutions.

n Cathy Brunt of Scarborough was promoted to a senior LTD claims examiner at Custom Disability Solutions.


Hammond Lumber Co. received two safety awards from Northeast Lumber Manufacturers Association.

The company received second-place high honors in Division 2 (25,000 to 50,000 man- hours) for combined operations in its sawmill and planer mill.

It also received a second-place award in Division 1 (1 to 25,000 man-hours) for its planer mill operation.
