On the Move

— NEW FACES

n Glenn A. Griffin joined TD Banknorth as the store manager of its branch on Elm Street in Camden.

Griffin, of Washington, has 14 years of banking experience and was previously with MBNA/Bank of America in Belfast.

n Bruce Drouin joined Katahdin Trust Co. as vice president of commercial services in its loan production office in Scarborough.

Drouin, of Yarmouth, has more than 30 years' experience in the banking industry and was most recently with Key Bank in Portland.

n Leslie Tranchell joined Legacy Properties Sotheby's International Realty and will work in its Camden office.

n John Kaufman, Mark Leathers and Scott Twillman joined James W. Sewall Co. and will work in its forestry and natural resources consulting group.

Kaufman joined the firm as a forest resource economist. He will evaluate forestland investment opportunities, forecast timber, and non-timber revenues, conduct wood supply-and-demand studies, and provide a wide range of natural resource economics services.

Leathers is the business manager and resource analyst of the group and has 14 years of forest industry experience.

Twillman was named resource analyst and will work at the company's North Carolina office.

PROMOTIONS

n Anne Pooler was named dean of the University of Maine's College of Education and Human Development.

Pooler, of Brewer, has served as interim dean since July 2007. She joined the faculty in 1976 and became associate dean in 1979.

GENERAL

n Jennifer Mirabile, a banker with KeyBank in the Camden/Rockland area, was recently inducted into the ''Mike Williams Society'' at the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Maine for volunteering more than 300 hours for the organization.

Mirabile has served as the co-chair of the solicitations committee for the foundation's fantasy auction.

The Human Resources Association of Southern Maine was awarded the superior merit chapter designation from the Society for Human Resource Management in Alexandria, Va.

The Human Resources Association of Southern Maine is one of 51 chapters receiving the distinction in the Northeast region.

n Linda A. Beever was appointed president of the Maine Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter Association. Beever has been in the insurance industry for more than 22 years and is employed at The Hanover Insurance Co.

n Peter Dodge was named chairman of the board of directors for Bar Harbor Bankshares, the parent company of Bar Harbor Bank and Trust.

Dodge succeeds Thomas A. Colwell, who will assume the role of vice chairman. Colwell, of Deer Isle, had served as chairman since 2004.

Dodge, of Blue Hill, has been a member of the board since 1987. He is treasurer of Bagaduce Music Lending Library in Blue Hill.
