Portland Pirates' Weekend

— With starting goalie Jhonas Enroth in the NHL with the Buffalo Sabres for the weekend, J.P. Lamoreaux, Enroth's backup, will make his second AHL start. Rookie center Tyler Ennis leads the Pirates with six goals, while veteran forward Mark Mancari has a team-high eight assists. Rookies Dennis Persson and Paul Byron are expected be healthy enough to return to the Portland lineup, but forward Nathan Gerbe and veteran defenseman Marc-Andre Gragnani are expected to be sidelined with injuries.

WHO: Hershey Bears at Pirates

WHERE: Cumberland County Civic Center

NOTES: Hershey left wing Alexandre Giroux, the AHL player of the month for October, shares the league scoring lead with seven goals and 10 assists. Drew Gordon, another left wing, follows with seven goals and nine assists. The first-place team in the East Division, the Bears are an affiliate of the Washington Capitals.

SUNDAY, 4 P.M.

WHO: Springfield Falcons at Pirates

WHERE: Cumberland County Civic Center

NOTES: Springfield left wing Chris Menard leads the AHL with nine goals, and Charles Linglet, another left wing, has a league-high 11 assists. An affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, the Falcons have the sixth-ranked power play in the AHL, converting 20.3 percent of their opportunities.
