Everyone in the press box is scratching their heads, trying to remember a first half as bad as the Patriots played in falling behind the Miami Dolphins 17-3.
Tom Brady: 6-for-8 passing for 25 yards, a sack, an interception and a QB rating of 38.0.
Ryan Tannehill: 11-for-18 passing for 72 yards, 0 sacks, 0 interceptions, 2 TDs and a QB rating of 106.7.
The Dolphins rushed for 103 yards, the Patriots 41.
Miami is manhandling the Patriots up front on both sides, offensively and defensively.
And the Patriots lost one of their best offensive linemen, when right tackle Sebastian Vollmer had to be carted off after suffering a right leg injury with 7:16 left in the second. Television viewers said they heard Vollmer's screams of pain as he was rolled up by a Miami defender.
The good news?
The Patriots are only down two scores and get the ball to start the third quarter.
It can't get worse, can it?Tweet
