NEW FACES

Colleen McCracken was hired as co-chief executive officer at Planet Dog, sharing the role with longtime company partner, Stephanie Volo. McCracken, of Scarborough, spent the past 15 years with Thomas Moser, a Maine-based designer and builder of fine wood furniture.


Stacey Haskell of Gorham joined Planet Dog as accounting manager. She has more than 20 years of experience in finance, bookkeeping and accounting in a variety of industries


Rosemary Loring joined Maine Coast Memorial Hospital as vice president, human resources. Loring comes to the hospital from Rudman Winchell LLD/Starboard Leadership Consulting in Bangor.

Sidley hired two partners and one counsel for its Portland office. Herbert Janick III was hired as partner, securities regulatory and enforcement defense. His practice area includes conducting internal investigations and reviews, and representing broker-dealers, public companies and other financial service firms in connection with investigations by the SEC and other regulators.

Eric Seltzer was hired as counsel, securities enforcement, litigation and compliance. He represents broker-dealers, insurance and investment companies, public companies and public accounting firms in connection with internal investigations and examinations by federal and state regulators.

Corin Swift was hired as partner, investigations and enforcement proceedings. Swift represents a wide range of clients in investigations and enforcement proceedings brought by regulators.

Shawn Pennington (far left) and Keith Nelson (near left) joined WGTECH’s technology team. Pennington was hired as a senior systems engineer. He was previously director of IT for the city of South Portland. Nelson was hired as a systems support specialist. He comes to WGTECH from the retail environment, including work at Circuit City. He also is completing course work to qualify for certifications from Cisco and Microsoft.


Dr. Christopher Sprowl was named president of Maine Medical Partners, a subsidiary of Maine Medical Center. Sprowl comes to MMP from PeaceHealth Medical Group, based in Washington state.

Andrew Snyder of South Portland joined Benchmark Residential & Investment Real Estate. Snyder’s areas of expertise include home construction, remodeling and rehabilitation of older homes, as well as subdivision approval and land use regulation.


PROMOTIONS

Andrew Cook of KeyBank was promoted to assistant vice president and branch manager of its Gorham location. Cook had served as small-business relationship manager in Falmouth.


Laurent Grenier was recently promoted to project manager for CCB Inc., a Westbrook-based, woman-owned construction firm. Grenier of Monmouth joined the CCB Team in 2001 as a project superintendent with more than 14 years of ironworker trade and supervisory experience.

Peter Boudreau of TD Bank was promoted to manager of the Sanford office at 1237 Main St. Boudreau of Lyman has 15 years of banking experience. He joined TD Bank in 2011 as an assistant manager in Saco. He was previously with Wells Fargo Financial in South Portland.


APPOINTMENTS

Thomas Elias of Elias Law Offices in York was appointed by the Maine Supreme Judicial Court to a three-year term on the Fee Arbitration Commission of the Board of Overseers of the Bar.

Robert Dubois was recently elected chairman of SIS Bank’s board of directors. David Nickerson was elected vice chairman. Dubois is a retired insurance agency owner. Nickerson is president of Rubb Manufacturing in Sanford.

Betts Armstrong of Scarborough was elected to the board of directors of Scarborough Land Trust. She has been active with Friends of Scarborough Marsh and serves on the board of directors for the Independent Transportation Network. Officers appointed are: Paul Austin, president; Elizabeth Peoples, vice president; Patrick O’Reilly, treasurer; and Rick Shinay, clerk.
