Everyone knows how much you love your dog. Probably more than you love your spouse on most occasions because Fido doesn't leave his dirty socks on the floor or belch after every meal. (Sure, there may be that occasional gas problem from the fancy - and expensive - dog food, but no burps.)

Since everyone already knows how you feel, you might as well go ahead and show off your love with some PDAs tonight at Planet Dog Company Store (211 Marginal Way). The annual Canine Cocktail Party and Dog Kissing Contest runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and if years past are any indication, there's sure to be plenty of sloppy kissing.

You'll be asked for a $5 donation to participate, but, just think - after you and Fido have your turn in front of the crowd everyone will finally know for sure that you two are a perfect match. You may even win a prize for your expressions of true love.

And chances are, tonight's date with your furry pal might end up being more fun than the same old Valentine's Day plans with your human significant other.
