When you see how successful Portland Buy Local has become it's hard to believe the organization started in 2006 with just 20 business owners and citizens.

Now more than 400 members strong, Portland Buy Local has become well-known for its eventsd and awards.
One of those events is on the calendar for Wednesday - and it has a few pretty unique twists.
The February mixer, which runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., will be held at Bam Bam Bakery. And your hosts will be providing gluten-free eats. If that's not enough to get you out and about to the informal social networking event, how about gluten-free beverages from Urban Farm Fermentory.
Unless you're a regular with the GF menu, the eats and drinks will be a nice change of pace for your belly. And the chats with others interested in Portland's indie biz scene will be way better than heading home for the latest episode of Entertainment Tonight.
Members, friends and anyone who wants to know more about Portland Buy Local is welcome.
