For the past several months, pedestrians around Monument Square who have glanced up on the old-fashioned clock have been treated to the whimisical works of Maine College of Art illustration students.

And now, new for March: White bread is for the birds ...

And the seagull stole my sandwich ...

The creations are fun, entertaining and much appreciated by city workers out and about looking for any tiny thing to brighten the workday.

Take a peak next time you're passing the square and for more about the MECA students and the clock read Bob Keyes' Press Herald story.
