A largely female crowd of business owners and executives mingled at the Portland Regency tonight, during a reception hosted by Prudential Financial and the Maine Women's Network. Billed as an outstanding women's networking event, the party served up complimentary cocktails and appetizers along with a friendly atmosphere where many connections were made and business cards exchanged.
The party also featured a short talk by Caroline Feeney, who is the Eastern Territorial Vice President for Prudential Financial. She spoke to the crowd about career development and the power of networking.
Look for more details about what Caroline had to say in my Society Notebook column in the Sept. 4 edition of the Maine Sunday Telegram, where you'll also find snapshots from the party.
Until then, I hope to see you out and about.
