Shawnna Hitchcock, Erica Doyle, Sarah Perham, Anne Hooper and Rhonda Curit were among the hockey fans who turned out last night for the Evening with the Pirates benefit auction at the Holiday Inn by the Bay. They were there to enjoy the funky beats of Motor Booty Affair, bid on auction items and meet the players.
The party was put on by the Portland Pirates Booster Club and all proceeds raised from the ticket sales and the silent auction will go to support local nonprofits, including Gary's House which is the Booster Club's primary charity.
When Motor Booty is in the house, you can't stop folks from getting down and last night was no different. The band is always a crowd-pleaser, but they scored extra points last night for performing in the team's colors. Of course, they wore those colors in the form of 70s-style shirts and bell-bottom pants.
