More than 300 people packed the Boys and Girls Club in Portland tonight for the annual auction benefiting the organization's Southern Maine chapter.
You could hardly recognize the clubhouse thanks to all the creative decorative touches. Here the game room is transformed into a silent auction area and bar. The gym morphed into an elegant banquet hall, and the upstairs community room had the feel of a swanky nightclub.
Putting together this event required a team of volunteers, many of whom spent this gorgeous Saturday inside decorating the space and organizing the auction items for the 28th Annual Spring for the Kids Auction. Laura and Gary Bergeron, who greeted guests as they arrived, were this year's affable event co-chairs.
If you want to see more snapshots from the party, be sure to check out the Scene & Heard section in the April 11 edition of the Maine Sunday Telegram.
