The University of Maine hockey team will be facing a struggling New Hampshire squad Saturday when the teams meet Saturday night at Fenway Park at 7:30 p.m. (Televised by NESN).
UNH (6-10-2, 4-7-1 in Hockey East) has been giving up too many goals. Wildcats coach Dick Umile announced today that freshman Casey DeSmith of Rochester, N.H. will start in goal Saturday for UNH. It will be DeSmith's fourth college game and only his second start.
Maine (9-7-2, 6-6-1) will go with goalie Dan Sullivan, who has been hot lately, allowing four goals in his last three games.
"He's made some big-time saves and that's a lift for us," Maine defenseman Will O'Neill said.
