I began a five shows in 18 days journey last Saturday night with a superb show by Dilly Dilly (see photo) at Port City Music Hall. Next it was Indigo Girls on Tuesday night at Jonathan's in Ogunquit. Tomorrow night I head to the Stone Mountain Arts Center for Dar Williams, one of my all-time favorite singer-songwriters. On Monday night it's back to Port City Music Hall for Rachael Yamagata, Check out my interview with her:www.pressherald.com/life/go/yamagata-plays-parts-of-artist-business-person_2011-10-20.html
The live music bender culminates with the Pixies at the State Theatre on Tuesday, November 1st. Sorry, this one's sold-out. Check out my interview with guitarist Joey Santiago in next week's GO. See you out there, my fellow music fans.

Aimsel Ponti has been obsessed with - and inspired by- music since she listened to Monkees records borrowed from the town library when she was six years old. She's a huge fan of the local music scene and interviews an act every week for "Making Noise" which runs in the Press Herald GO section. You'll also find her out and about absorbing live music like a sponge and roaming around local record shops and flea markets.
