'Round eight o'clock tonight there's only one place I want to be and that's BLUE (650A Congress St.) in Portland to see and hear a free (though donations are always a grand idea) performance from Cariad Harmon.

This came across my desk the other day:

"After the 2009 launch of her debut album Four Letters this talented songstress has some pretty big shoes to fill. Rolling Stone Magazine has likened her sound to a modern day Joni Mitchell and Rickie Lee Jones, while No Depression has drawn comparisons to to Nick Drake and Norah Jones. The bar has certainly been set rather high.  However, renowned among her New York fans for an enthralling combination of witty repartee, catchy melodies and meaningful lyrics, Cariad Harmon is proving that she's well worthy of such praise.  With a brand new album set to launch in the summer of 2012 the future looks bright!  Catch her while you can at this great Portland venue."

See you tonight?
