Happy 2013 Good People!
I'm gonna get right to it. The question of "What was my favorite album of 2012" was one I was able to answer without hesitation or doubt in about two seconds flat.
And the winner is...
Sinead O'Connor's "How About I Be Me (And You Be You)?"
The album was released in February and as soon as I heard the first single "The Wolf is Getting Married" I knew I had to have it. youtube.com/watch
In fact, I can't remember the last time I charged over to Bull Moose Music on the day an album was released to buy it.
"Reason with Me" = stunning and brilliant
"Take Off Your Shoes" = stunning and brilliant
"Queen of Denmark" = stunning and brilliant
I was saddened beyond words when her Boston show scheduled for April was cancelled, as was her entire tour, when O'Connor fell on hard times in her personal life. But like the phoenix from the flame, I'm sure she'll be back. Because there is no other Sinead.
