Rep. Mike Michaud, D-2nd, raised $71,516 during the first three months of the year, according to his campaign finance report filed today with the Federal Election Commission.
Michaud also spent $50,130 and had $79,840 on hand as of March 31, his report shows.
Michaud soon will have more than that in his campaign coffers, however. Democrat Rosa Scarcelli, a Portland businesswoman and gubernatorial primary candidate, is hosting a fundraiser for Michaud next week.
Michaud does not yet have an announced opponent for 2012.
