Sen. Susan Collins will be in Germany this weekend as part of a Congressional delegation participating in the 48th Annual Munich Conference on Security Policy, her office said tonight.

Collins left this evening for the conference on Trans-Atlantic security issues. Her office said the Maine Republican will participate in discussions regarding Iran’s nuclear ambitions, the Middle East and current and future roles of NATO.

Collins is the top Republican on the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs and also a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee. Also on the trip are Sen. John McCain, R-Az., the top Republican on the armed services committee, and Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., the chairman of the homeland security committee.
