WASHINGTON -- On Tuesday, I blogged about how U.S. Rep. Mike Michaud, D-District 2, was in the running for the top Democratic post on the House Veterans' Affairs Committee.
Michaud was formally elected the committee's ranking minority member on Wednesday, meaning he will work closely with the Republican chairman, Rep. Jeff Miller of Florida, to set the agenda for the panel.
The full story can be found here.
Although a relatively low-key member of Congress, Michaud is well known -- and well respected -- among groups that work on veterans' issues due to his work on the committee since 2003.
