WASHINGTON -- Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, is slated to appear Monday on the CBS news program "This Morning" to discuss the upcoming session of Congress and the gains made by women in the Senate.
A record 20 women will be serving in the U.S. Senate this year along with 78 women in the U.S. House. Collins, who was first elected to the Senate in 1996, will appear on CBS' inaugural day edition of "This Morning" along with Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., and Sen. Heidi Heitcamp, D-N.D.
The senators are tentatively scheduled to appear around 8:30 a.m., according to Collins' office.
