Linda Parker, owner of Mount Desert Island Ice Cream, has been invited to appear on the ABC show "The View" on July 3.
MDI, an artisanal producer of small-batch ice creams and sorbets, will be profiled as one of the top five ice cream makers in the nation.
Parker said she was asked to bring three interesting flavors with her. She chose Salt Brigadeiro, Bay of Figs and Atantic Stout with Fudge.
MDI has two retail locations in Bar Harbor and one on Exchange Street in Portland's Old Port. MDI Ice Cream is also sold at Bob's Clam Hut in Kittery.
The View airs locally on WMTW-Channel 8 at 11 a.m.
