Carmen Gonzalez of Carmen at the Danforth is showing a TV crew around her adopted hometown of Portland this week.
MGM Latin America, which produces “La Chispa de Chef Carmen Gonzalez,” filmed segments at the Cabot Creamery Cooperative, the Danforth, Bliss, and other spots around the city on Tuesday. Wednesday night, Tony Mantuano of Spiaggia joins her in the kitchen for a sold-out dinner at the Danforth.
Meredith Goad has harvested oysters on the Chesapeake Bay, eaten reindeer in Finland and sipped hot chai in the Himalayas. She writes the weekly Soup to Nuts column and enjoys a good cocktail.
