If you haven't yet had a chance to sip the gluten-free and dairy-free juices and smoothies or try the raw, organic food at Roost House of Juice, you may want to swing by this Friday, Oct. 5 during the First Friday Art Walk.
That's when owners Jeanette Richelson and Kathleen Flanagan will host an official Grand Opening Party. The event takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. and will feature free samples of their food and drink. The walls will be adorned with photographs by Anne Ritchie.
The restaurant officially opened on Aug. 22 and has been serving a steady stream of health conscious patrons since then. Jeanette and Kathleen have tweaked their hours since I wrote about them on opening day. The juice bar is now open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday. It's also hosting Wine Down Time every Tuesday through Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. with $5 glasses of wine.
Find Roost House of Juice at 11 Free Street in Portland or online at http://roosthouseofjuice.com.
