Allison Fishman Task has bobbed for Buffalo wings in a pool full of blue cheese dip, kissed an ugly fish called an eelpout and noshed on fried cicadas — all as host of the Yahoo web series "Blue Ribbon Hunter."
Earlier this month, she filmed a segment at the 66th Annual Maine Lobster Festival, where she also served as a judge at the cooking contest. I joined her at the festival and had the pleasure of showing her how to get at the body meat of a lobster, among other tips. Here's the just-released video.

Meredith Goad has harvested oysters on the Chesapeake Bay, eaten reindeer in Finland and sipped hot chai in the Himalayas. She writes the weekly Soup to Nuts column and enjoys a good cocktail.
