Beer journalist John Holl will be at Gritty McDuff's Brewpub, 396 Fore St. on Wed., Sept. 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. to sign and chat about his new book, "The American Craft Beer Cookbook." The book, which will be released tomorrow by Storey Publishing, features more than 100 recipes collected from breweries, brewpubs and beer-loving folks across the country, including Gritty's own recipe for blackened shrimp and corn chowder.
Meredith Goad has harvested oysters on the Chesapeake Bay, eaten reindeer in Finland and sipped hot chai in the Himalayas. She writes the weekly Soup to Nuts column and enjoys a good cocktail.
