Harvest on the Harbor – one of Portland's premiere food events – gets off to a tasty start Wednesday night with smoked bluefish apps from Leslie Oster and Aurora Provisions!

Justin from Primo passes out sliders made with Moxie-braised beef and topped with slaw from the Primo Garden, a watermelon radish and a pickle from Morse's.

The guys from New England Distilling report they'll be bottling their rye whiskey in just another two weeks. I'm enjoying a glass of cider with their Eight Bells Rum.

Jumbo lump crab cakes with spicy aioli from Northwoods Gourmet Girl.

Spiced hard cider made with Twenty 2 Vodka, cinnamon, nutmeg and local apple cider

Roasted butternut squash & apple bisque with a maple Creme fraiche & candied pecans from the Portland Regency Hotel

Pasta & fungi from DiMillo's on the Water 

Maple-brined Pineland Farm beef loin on lovage & a butter cracker from Azure Cafe 

Crab cones w/ green goddess dressing, quinoa, apple & bacon crumbs from Mitch Kaldrovich of Sea Glass Restaurant. 

Lobster & crab roll w/ parsnip, ricotta, hazelnuts & butternut squash vinaigrette from Eve's at the Garden in the Portland Harbor Hotel.
