Michele Ragussis, the summertime chef at The Pearl in Rockland, is one of six professional chefs who will battle home cooks in "Food Fighters." Hosted by Adam Richman (of "Man vs. Food" fame), the show has been picked up by NBC for 2014, but a start date has not yet been announced.

According to its official page on NBC, "Food Fighters" is "one part cooking competition, one part game show." The Hollywood Junket has a review with few more details, including the following, which clearly references Ragussis:

"NBC did a wonderful job when selecting their chefs, because not only does a television chef have to be able to cook well, they need to have stage presence, and know how to connect with an audience. This task is difficult, because they are focusing on preparing a delicious recipe, adding their touch of creativity, and topping it off with their personality. There was another chef who possessed a warm, loving presence. Her specialty was seafood; she runs one of the top seafood restaurants in Maine."

Ragussis was a finalist on "Next Food Network Star" and has also appeared on "Chopped" and "24 Hour Restaurant Battle."
