Supporters and opponents of same-sex marriage will square off twice this week -- once in Bangor and the following night in Portland.
On Wednesday, WABI-TV 5 in Bangor will host the first televised debate of the campaign season when Carroll Conley of the Christian Civic League faces Matt McTighe of Mainers United for Marriage. It will air live from 7-8 p.m.
On Wednesday, Conley will debate Mary Bonauto of Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders at a forum hosted by the University of Southern Maine School of Law. That's set for 7 p.m. in Luther Bonney Hall on campus. It's sponsored by the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Law Caucus at the school.
Last week, McTighe and Conley appeared on the Maine Public Broadcasting Network's Maine Watch.
