Folks from the Portland Downtown District and Portland Buy Local gave away bags o' local goodies this morning in honor of Portland Downtown Worker Appreciation Day.
Bag-giving booths were set up in three downtown locations as people filed into work: Monument Square, Post Office Park and in front of the Portland Museum of Art. The free goodie bags were chock full of appreciation (in the form of coupons, stickers and a bar of chocolate!).
Coupons came from a host of local businesses: acupuncture at Zenkai, a free cupcake with bowl of soup at Kamasouptra, two free movie rentals at Videoport, 20% off at Lalo Boutique, and loads more. And let's not forget the free coffee and baked goods.
Thanks, PDD and Buy Local. We feel appreciated. And we appreciate you, too.
