There's a carnival scene coming together in the Maine Mall parking lot - complete with a Ferris wheel and other rides, food vendors and carnival games.
It's part of the M Fest running June 21 to 24. According to the Maine Mall, it's called the M Fest because, "it's Maine's Own Mighty Midway Melded with the Majestic Maine Mall."
Sure, browsing two-for-one sales on flip-flops and plaid shorts is great - but you know what's also great? Riding The Scrambler so many times in a row you almost start to regret the fried dough. Almost.
Festival hours are 3 to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
