Portlanders love their free music. Especially the outdoor kind.
One of the most popular summer series, the Alive at Five concerts, will start attracting crowds on July 12 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The Thursday night music event runs through Aug. 9 at Monument Square. And don't forget that Sebago Brewing makes the experience that much more enjoyable with a beer garden.
Here's this summer's schedule:
July 12: Phantom Buffalo (indie rock) and Dilly Dilly (folk rock)
July 19: Spencer Albee (pop rock), Zach Jones (R&B) and Lady Zen (soul)
July 26: McCarthys (alt country) and Amy Allen (singer-songwriter)
Aug. 2: March Forth (New Orleans marching band), Anna and the Diggs (Americana) and Veayo Twins (MAMM Slam high school band winners)
Aug. 9: The Mallet Brothers (country rock) and CuLLu (reggae)
