In case you missed it this morning, this week is National Bike to Work week sponsored by the League of American Bicyclists.
If you got in the car and drove to the office today, no worries - you still have four more days to get in on the best part of Bike Month, which is celebrated throughout May.
And sure, the next couple days may be a little rainy - again - but a little rain never hurt anyone. Just bring a change of clothes for the office and plan on a not great hair day.
If you take issue with riding when it's wet, remember that Friday is forecast as "sunny and 70s" and that happens to be Bike to Work Day. Join the celebration from 4 to 5 p.m. at Bug Light Park in South Portland where Mayor Patti Smith will welcome participants.
Bikers will receive free Maine Lighthouse Ride T-shirts and socks from the Bicycle Coalition of Maine. There will also be pizza, snacks and other activities.
