The 28th annual American Lung Association Trek Across Maine wrapped up Sunday afternoon in Belfast with some 2,100 bikers rolling across the finish line.

Their journey began Friday at Sunday River Ski Resort in Newry before overnight stops in Farmington and Waterville. As of this morning, participants has raised just over $1.5 million to prevent lung disease and improve lung health.

I wasn't at the finish line this year - I rode the event five times but sat this one out - but a friend was there to cheer on the riders and shared her photos so I could share them with you.

Friends, relatives and fans lined the finish area to great some of the first arrivals.

Teams gathered about a mile before the finish so they could all ride in together.

A tandem with a tag-along meant six legs churning out those 180 miles.

Finishers were treated to great views of the harbor as they rounded the final turns.

This year's riders had great weather conditions throughout the three-day event.

There were plenty of reasons for high-fives before the bikes were parked.

Huge congrats to Marion Bannon, Glen Bannon and Gail Fitzmaurice who conquered the Trek and were still smiling at the finish.
