Whether you're looking for a 5-mile ride or a century, you don't have to look anywhere but Biddeford this weekend as the 2012 edition of the Maine Bike Rally kicks off Friday.

The three-day event, which will take place at Biddeford Middle School, features both on-road and off-road rides, plus an accredited time trial. There will also be a bike expo, an ice cream social and musical entertainment.
Road rides include a 20.6-mile Intro to the Eastern Trail route that winds through Biddeford, Arundel and Kennebunk, or the Sand 'n Sundaes Camp Ellis ride that takes riders through Ocean Park and Old Orchard Beach. That ride stretches 16.9 miles.
Saturday's 100-miler begins at 7 a.m. and takes cyclists to Kittery and back.
Register online for all three days ($120 for non-members) or for a single day ($75 for Saturday; $30 for Sunday). Fees to participate in the age group time trials are $15.
The event is a combo effort of the Casco Bay Bicycle Club, Merrymeeting Wheelers Bicycle Club and the Bicycle Coalition of Maine.
