When pedaling in the evening, you never want to find that your bike light has lost its power.

And it goes without saying that when you're anywhere, doing anything - even riding a bike - you never want to find that your cellphone has lost its charge.

Enter ECOXPOWER, the first pedal-powered LED headlight and phone charger.

Yeah, you read that right.

The charger from ECOXGEAR. is equipped with a universal mount that attaches to most standard or over-sized hubs. It also comes with a handlebar mounted, water-resistant, touch-screen compatible smartphone/GPS case. Find it at for $99.99.

The device can actually charge any USB device, including GPS, iPhone and Android. Here's some info on just how it works:

"The included USB adapter cable runs up the front fork and into the handlebar mounted smart phone case. As the front wheel of your bike turns, the ECOXPOWER's clutch engages between the tire's spokes, fueling a generator that powers the lighting system, the integrated lithium ion rechargeable battery and the power jack for your phone."

Pretty cool.

ECOXPOWER also comes equipped with an on/off remote switch that can be mounted to the handlebars, allowing for full control over the headlight and taillight while on a ride.

According to the website, ECOXGEAR can be found at Eastern Mountain Sports, Cabela's and L.L. Bean.
