The Yarmouth Clam Festival is one of the summer's can't-miss events. Plenty of people go for the clam, the music, the midway and the crafts vendors. And then they are those who go when the crowds are light on Sunday morning to see the cyclists racing down Main Street and beyond.

The Clam Festival's 32nd annual Men's and Women's Professional Bike Race sprints off the start line at 9 a.m. Sunday (9:05 a.m. for women), thanks to Portland Velo Club.

Female competitors will ride 21.6 miles (6 laps of the 3.6-mile loop) and men will ride 36 miles (10 laps). Both races start and finish on Main Street in front of the Memorial Green, which is the perfect vantage point for you to settle in with a bagel and a cup of coffee and cheer on the riders with the coolest jerseys.

United States Cycling Federation rules apply and $750 in prizes money will be awarded. Ten finishers will place in each division (women's open; men's class 1, 2 and 3).

If you think you have what it takes register at www.bikereg.com for $35.
