If a few hours of mountain biking doesn't quite do it for you there's an annual event on Saturday that should provide your fill of the single-track - and then some.

The popular 12-hours of Bradbury Mountain happens once again at the state park in Pownal with riders leaving the line on a staggered start at 8 a.m. Either as individuals or teams, riders will pedal laps of the course until 8 p.m. with category winners getting their due in an awards ceremony at 8:30 p.m.

In between Bradbury will feature a party atmosphere with live music from King Memphis (2 to 3:30 p.m.), a costume lap contest, the 6 Minutes of Bradbury Kids Race (at noon) and riders busting the butts to circle the 6.9-mile course over and again.

Check out the course map here.

Lights will go on for any laps started after 4:30 p.m. (cyclists must have lights on their bikes), but the riding will continue until well after dark.

Even if you haven't registered, this event put on by Casco Bay Sports will be a fun one to attend, before (pre-race party Friday at Buck's Baked BBQ in Freeport), during or after (Post Race Happy Hour at Gritty's in Freeport from 8:30 to 11 p.m.) You're bound to see some people you know pedaling by - over and over again.
