The streets of Yarmouth will have a yellow hue on Saturday when cyclists take to the roadways for the community's annual Livestrong Day.

If you're not familiar with the event started by cancer survivor and multi-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong you can read about the beginnings of Livestrong Day here.

In Yarmouth the event includes a 12- or 23-mile ride to help raise awareness about the fight against cancer. Cyclists are asked to check in at Yarmouth Town hall between 9:30 and 10 a.m. with the ride beginning at 10.

There is no registration fee (but you can register online here) though donations to the Lance Armstrong Foundation are encouraged. Refreshments will be served after the ride.
