For many bike riders, it's all about the color - and the accessories.
This sweet pink ride was spotted parked outside Bayside Bowl a couple weeks ago. And as if the cotton candy color isn't enough, it's also equipped with a wide leather saddle and large wire baskets.
The owner of this bike definitely gets around in style, whether out doing errands or just enjoying a little bit of wind in the hair.
This bike is just one of the many cool things Space Gallery has had to see and do during the month of May, which happens to be Bike Month.
May is running out of days at this point but you can still view "Seek Alt. Routes: Recording Bicycle Powered Experiences," as exhibit that offers the community the chance to share bike stories and experiences.
Coming up on May 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. is the Alley Cat Race, which invites bikers to race through Portland in a fast-paced scavenger hunt. Rumor has it there could be whipped cream involved. Experienced city riders only please.
The owner of this bike clearly rides in comfort with a cushioned, sheepskin-style seat. The retro machine was spotted at the Top of the Old Port parking lot in Portland Thursday, just after the week-long rain ended and the sun started to peek out for the ride home.
