If you're traveling through or around Freeport on Sunday you'll likely see packs of female cyclists pedaling away along the routes of the 11th Annual Maine Women's Ride.

And then the disappointment and jealousy will hit because you're not out there with them.

Bikers who want to avoid those emotions still have a few days to get signed up for either the five-, 15-, 25- or 50-mile rides sponsored by the Bicycle Coalition of Maine. Registration fees are $45 for BCM members and $55 for non-members with $10 discounts going to girls ages 12 to 17 and riders over age 65. Girls age 11 and under ride for free. All proceeds benefit BCM's effort to improve bicycling in the state. Click here to register or arrive by 7 a.m. Sunday to sign up.

All rides begin and end at L.L. Bean’s Casco Conference Center in Freeport. The first group to go off will be the 50-milers at 8 a.m., followed by the 25-mile riders at 9 a.m. and the shorter two groups at 10 a.m. Cyclists will find rest stops along the way with water and healthy snacks and support vehicles will be out and about on the roadways.

For those feeling a little stiff after that 50-mile loop, free massages will be available after the ride. That will get you limbered up for the after-party just down the road at Gritty McDuff's with free food, door prizes, a cash bar serving local beers and, for those who are willing, maybe even some hula hooping.

If you're still not sure about getting in the saddle on Sunday, watch the BCM's video for some extra inspiration.
