Tonight's question was: "What three words would you use to describe Twitter?"

"Spastic. Fun. Time-suck." - Chrystie Vachon

"Fast. Furious. Freaky-awesome." - Kristi Trimmer

A gathering of users brought together via Twitter.

A monthly, formally organized Tweetup, Maine Tweetup (#metweetup), has been taking place in Portland for years. I missed the last #metweetup, so I was very happy to to be able to make an appearance last night. #metweetup is a great place to connect in real life (IRL) with people you have only previously been digitally acquainted with, via Twitter, of course. It's also a great way to reconnect with old friends.

I saw some old friends and made some new ones, I took some photos, I asked some questions, and I ate too many little sandwiches. @missbumptious gave me a chocolate bar that involved potato chips. All-in-all it was a very successful evening.

Huge thanks to Rich Brooks @therichbrooks and Joan Woodbrey Crocker @joanwoodbrey of Flyte New Media @flytenewmedia for organizing these events on a monthly basis.

Another big thank you to Little Tap House @littletaphouse, for hosting us again this month. You should go there. They have beer.

If you'd like more information about #metweetup you can check out the Facebook page or follow the hash tag #metweetup on Twitter.

Hope to see you next month! Tweet. Tweet.
