So, Congress has shut the government down. WTF Congress?! Bipartisan bickering, backstabbing and bluster are, once again, the order of the day. The American public stands by and can't believe our eyes (and ears). Our elected officials are behaving like infants. It's truly a sad state of affairs.

As I watched this mess play itself out, I took to Twitter for a little comic relief. Thankfully, it wasn't hard to find. Twitter feeds around the world were lit up with zingers on the subject. I thought I'd share just a few with you. Think of it as my contribution to lightening the national mood. What follows are some of my favorites that marked the occasion of yesterday's looming government shut down.

If you have tweets that you'd like to see featured, or topics that you'd like to see covered, send them to me on Twitter at @bobbbyg. I'll consider them for the next Tweets of the Week.

Here we go again ... tweet, tweet.

Today's themes are: Congressional Botox, the sexual habits of shrimp, and #ShutdownPickupLines
