The Portland Sea Dogs lead the Binghamton Mets 6-0 after 5 1/2 innings here at Hadlock Field.
Stephen Fife was working on a no-hitter until Raul Reyes singled on a ground ball to center field with one out in the sixth. With two outs, Jose Coronado reached on an infield single.
Through five innings, Fife had faced only 18 batters in six innings. Fife hit a batter in the second inning, but the runner was erased with a double play.
Fife's pitch count is at an efficent 70 (52 strikes) through six innings He has struck out five, so far.
Will Vazquez, Ryan Lavarnway and Luis Exposito all have home runs. Anthony Rizzo stroked a two-run double.
