Greetings from sunny Hadlock Field. Sunny, but 46 degrees and dropping, and windy.
The Sea Dogs are taking infield practice. Second baseman Oscar Tejeda is blowing on his right hand when not fielding grounders.
It will be tough weather on the batters tonight, but Sea Dogs fans can only hope their team will hit better than the parent club.
After Boston's 1-0 loss to Cleveland this afternoon, extending the winless start to 0-6, the Red Sox have scored 16 runs in six games. Adrian Gonzalez leads the Boston hitters with a .304 average.
Next best? J.D. Drew at .231.
Jarrod Saltalamacchia is pressing, at .071 (1-for-14), while usually-dependable Kevin Youkilis is hitting .105 (2-for-19).
As for the Sea Dogs, here is the starting lineup:
Che-Hsuan Lin, CF; Alex Hassan, LF; Jorge Padron, 1B; Ryan Lavarnway, C; Chih-Hsien Chiang, RF; Oscar Tejeda, 2B: Will Middlebrooks, 3B; Tim Federowicz, DH; Ryan Dent, SS. Alex Wilson, P.
