The Yankees and the Red Sox (Double-A affiliates) match-up tonight at Hadlock Field. It is "Turn the Clock Ahead" night with the teams wearing the the uniforms of the parent clubs.
Before we get to the Sea Dogs lineup and some statistics, here is the Red Sox lineup, courtesy of the media reporting in Boston:
Crawford LF; Pedroia 2B; Gonzalez 1B; Youkilis 3B; Ortiz DH; Drew RF; Saltalamacchia C; Ellsbury RF; Scutaro SS. Matsuzaka P.
The Yankees are off tonight (they host Baltimore on Tuesday), but two losses to Boston in New York is the same as the Red Sox losing the first six games. Doubt arises. The New York Post's Joel Sherman looks at concerns about Derek Jeter and Jorge Posada.
Here is tonight's Sea Dogs lineup:
Che-Hsuan-Lin CF; Alex Hassan LF; Tim Federowicz DH; Ryan Lavarnway C; Jorge Padron 1B; Will Middlebrooks 3B; Oscar Tejeda 2B; Ryan Dent SS; Mitch Dening RF. Michael Lee P.
Hassan, the pride of Milton, Mass., is a tad hot at the moment, hitting .571 (8-for-14). His OPS is 1.183.
Middlebrooks is looking superb at third, while batting .500 (7-for-14) and a 1.533 OPS, with a homer, triple and two doubles.
Federowicz is hitting .385 (5-for-13), while his catching partner, Lavarnway, is off to a slow start (.077). Tejeda is also at .077.
This is Lee's first start of the year. The 6-foot-7 right-hander was 9-7 in Salem last year, with a 4.42 ERA.Tweet
