Saw that J.D. Drew was leading off today against left-hander Ricky Romero. Seems strange, given Drew's problem with lefties. But he apparently has Romero figured out, so far, batting .450 (9-for-20) with one HR.
The lineup is Drew, Pedroia, Gonzalez, Youkilis, Ortiz, Lowrie, Crawford, Varitek, Ellsbury. (Matsuzaka).
Lowrie and his hot bat remain in the lineup, especially against a left-hander.
We can talk about the lineup all we want, but which Dice-K shows up?
One other Red Sox note: The media in Boston, including weei.com, is reporting that Hideki Okajima has been summoned from Pawtucket and Felix Doubront is headed to Triple-A.
As for the Sea Dogs, some of the players, who off to good starts, are still going at it. Both Alex Hassan (.500) and Will Middlebrooks (.371) stroked a pair of doubles on Sunday. Tim Federowicz (.323) and Ryan Lavarnway (.229) both homered. Lavarnway, after 1-for-13 start, is coming on.
