The Dogs are getting ready for a noon game today. Here's the Portland lineup:
Lin CF; Hassan LF; Federowicz DH; Lavarnway C; Vazquez 1B; Middlebrooks 3B; Tejeda 2B; Dent SS; Dening RF. (Wilson P)
Tejeda is 7-for-13 in his last four games, upping his average to .296.
Speaking of a player who is hot, pitcher Charlie Furbush of South Portland, had another 7-inning complete game for the Triple-A Toledo Mud Hens. (Minor league doubleheader games are seven innings).
Pitching last night in Syracuse, Furbush allowed 2 runs on 7 hits and 1 walk. He struck out 11.
Furbush now 2-1 with a 1.90 ERA, and 32 strikeouts in 23 2/3 innings.
