PAWTUCKET, R.I. - A quick change in plans. Had just parked at Fenway Park this afternoon when we discovered that Charlie Furbush was pitching tonight for the Toledo Mud Hens, at McCoy Stadium.
Others may be here to watch the Toledo DH (Victor Martinez on a rehab assignment), but I'll be monitoring Furbush, 25, of South Portland. Furbush (2-1, 1.90 ERA) has been on a roll, winning his past two decisions, allowing a total of 2 runs.
Here are the lineups from Boston and Pawtucket.:
BOSTON: Ellsbury CF; Pedroia 2B; Gonzalez 1B; Youkilis 3B; Ortiz DH; Drew RF; Lowrie SS; Crawford LF; Varitek C. Buchholz P.
PAWTUCKET: Navarro RF; Sutton 2B; Reddick CF; Luna 3B; Anderson 1B; Nava DH; Exposito C; Linares LF; Iglesias SS. Duckworth P.
